Shams Baqai
Chairman and Founder of AMEVEX. With over five decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Baqai has worked for prestigious companies such as Saudi Aramco, Petro Canada, Sun oil Co, Sonatrach, and POL. His notable accomplishments include the discovery of the 5 Billion bbls Dhib Oilfield in Saudi Arabia and a 2.5 Tcf gas field extension of the Hassi Remel gasfield in Algerian Sahara. Mr. Baqai's expertise played a crucial role in building reserves for POL in the 1990s and attracting significant investments for companies like Nemmoco, resulting in successful ventures such as Jura Energy.
Simon Howlett
Senior V.P For more than three decades, Simon's interests have included construction, property management in Canada, Portugal and the UK, coupled with running a highly successful luxury travel business. More recent ventures have taken him into the mines and minerals sector as an advisor on financial matters at Evex Mines, and as Senior V.P with Am Evex Energy Inc.
Saqib Awan
Vice President of AMEVEX ENERGY (PAKISTAN), possesses over 25 years of experience in the petroleum exploration and production industry. With a legal background, Mr. Awan has excelled in negotiating petroleum rights agreements, managing legal and commercial matters, and representing reputable companies like OMV Group and Descon Group. His educational background includes a Masters of Law degree and a Bachelors of Law degree from the University of Wales, UK.
S.M. Raza S. Zaidi
Director Technical at AMEVEX, brings over 30 years of experience in the E&P industry. Mr. Zaidi has held various technical and management roles in national, multinational, and international companies, working on interpretational projects across multiple countries. His expertise inQA/QC of seismic survey crews and data room evaluations makes him a valuable asset to AMEVEX.
Mick Noble
Advisor at AMEVEX, boasts more than four decades of experience in the petroleum exploration and production industry. Mr. Noble's extensive career includes executive management positions in prominent companies like Conoco Phillips and Dubai Petroleum Company, along with successful ventures in oil & gas start-ups. His background in capital raising and institutional fundraising adds significant value to AMEVEX.
Dr. Azer Mustaqeem
Advisor at AMEVEX, runs Petro Consultants in Calgary, Canada, with 30 years of global experience in the industry. With a team of experts at his disposal, Dr. Mustaqeem's insights and guidance contribute greatly to AMEVEX's strategic initiatives.
Major (Retired) Azmat Altaf Malik
Pakistani national with over 40 years of hands-on experience in Management Consulting, Security, Civil Engineering, and Community Development. His diverse background encompasses corporate roles such as Community Development Manager at OMV, conducting Oil and Gas exploration studies in Mongolia and Tajikistan, and currently serving as the Country Manager for Software Productivity Strategist, a USA-based AI company. A seasoned leader, he has successfully managed projects in remote and disaster-hit areas, demonstrating strong project planning and implementation skills. As President of the Malik Maula Bakhsh Memorial Trust (MMBMT), he spearheads initiatives for female education in rural areas. Despite facing health challenges, including ALS (MND), heart issues, diabetes, and being wheelchair-bound, Maj. Azmat remains actively involved in the rehabilitation of patients with similar conditions, embodying resilience and commitment to social causes.
